EA is bringing a new game mode to Apex Legends in Season 9
EA is adding a new game mode to it’s popular battle-royale Apex Legends. A new game mode called ‘Arenas’ is coming to Apex Legends soon.
Arenas is a permanent game mode coming to the game with the upcoming Legacy(Season 9) update.
It is 3 v 3 multiplayer mode, much simpler than the actual battle-royale mode. The video itself will give you detailed information about the mode and how it plays out.
You will be fighting the enemy squad over multiple rounds, where you will have to outlast them just like you would in the main battle-royale mode, except here you only face one enemy squad instead of multiple squads.
At first you get a chance to select the legend/character you want to play as, just like you do in the main battle-royale mode. Before the rounds start you will have to buy weapons and abilities to use during the fight. You can spend your credits by buying the weapons and abilities from a buy menu, similar to the way you buy in Valorant or Counter Strike.
The game mode has 5 maps, out of which two are new and 3 are locations from existing maps. The two new maps are Party Crasher and Phase Runner.
And the locations from existing maps are Artillery from Kings Canyon, Thermal Station from World’s Edge, and Golden Gardens from Olympus.
Now, the game objective can be a little confusing at first, or at least it did confuse me.
To win a game of ‘Arenas’ you need to win at least 3 rounds which gives you 3 points and be ahead of the opposing team by 2 points. And that’s the most basic objective to win the game. This means the easiest and quickest way to win a match is scoring 3-0 or a 3-1. Now there can me other outcomes such as 4-2 & 5-3. If the score is 4-4 i.e. the match goes t round 9 which is a sudden death round. And it goes without saying that whoever takes the round takes the game.
