Fortnite has introduced a new LTM game mode called “Impostors”, basically Among Us
Fortnite has announced a new game mode called “IMPOSTORS“, with update v17.40.
The mode is for a maximum of 10 players. 8 of them are Agents tasked with maintaining control over The Bridge while the other two are Imposters who aim to overtake it & sabotage the Imagined Order.
The Impostors will look just like the Agents, making it hard to find out who the real Impostors are. The agents will have to complete various Assignments which will give Impostors time to eliminate the Agents. The Impostors’ whole purpose is to eliminate enough Agents that they can take over The Bridge. On the other hand, in order to win, the Agents will have to guess correctly and kick out all the Impostors.
This mode is similar to and perhaps inspired by the Among Us, a popular multiplayer social deduction game. It basically is Among Us but with Fortnite’s flair.
Fortnite has also announced that going forward, until the end of the invasion, each Thursday a new Wild Week along with Legendary Quest Chain will be available.
The patch also introduces some bug fixes for the following:
- A bug with preferred item slots where double item slot items, such as the Chug Cannon moved to incorrect slots when the player picked up a new item.
- Fixed the bug which caused Prop Disguise services from vendors to be disabled. Prop Disguise services from vendors are now enabled.
- A bug where Cosmic Chests become unopenable if a player left the team during a match.
