Outriders developer People Can Fly has acquired Phosphor Games

Outriders developer People Can Fly has acquired Phosphor Games, a Chicago based game development studio. The studio has worked on titles like Horn, Dark Meadow, The Path to Luma, The Brookhaven Experiment, etc.

The studio has been acquired under a newly established company, People Can Fly Chicago. Justin Corcoran, CEO of Phosphor Studios calls the move “a new chapter” for his team.

Taking over the Phosphor Games’ team is simply an execution of our strategy, announced during PCF Group’s recent IPO. With the variety of on-going projects, we need well-seasoned, ambitious professionals to bring our plans to fruition.” – said Sebastian Wojciechowski, People Can Fly’s CEO in the announcement blog post. “Considering Phosphor’s team experience and quality I’m sure they will be a great addition to the PCF family and will facilitate our growth. Welcome on board!”, he further added.

With this new addition People Can Fly now operates in 7 major locations across the world with 3 different locations in North America itself. People Can Fly has studios in Warsaw, Rzeszów, Łódź, New York, Newcastle, Montreal and now in Chicago too.

People Can Fly is currently working on two other AAA projects as mentioned in the announcement. One of the projects is a new game for Square Enix and the other one is an action-adventure title for Take-Two Interactive. And besides those the studio is still set on pushing out content for Outriders, it’s recently launched co-op RPG game.
