First teaser for FAU-G drops on Dussehra, features Galwan Valley

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar shared a teaser for ‘FAU-G’ on the occasion of Dussehra, a festival where good triumphs over evil.

The game was supposed to launch by the end of October but as the new teaser dropped, it is has been announced that the game will launch in November.

The first episode of the game is set in Galwan Valley and apparently will features some intense melee combat. Not much is yet revealed about the game’s combat, we can expect to have more details soon as the game’s launch is coming closer.

While there are some that are excited for the game’s launch and are praising the developers, there are many that aren’t happy with the game’s visuals and graphics. Although no actual gameplay was revealed in the trailer many are skeptical about the combat mechanics. Judging from this teaser the melee combat doesn’t look up to par as compared to other latest action-shooter mobile games.

FAU-G is an acronym for ‘Fearless and United Guards‘. ‘FAU-Gonline action multiplayer game developed by Indian developer nCore Games under the “mentorship” of Akshay Kumar.

The game intends to support the Atmanirbhar Bharat Movement. Akshay Kumar had announced that 20% of the total revenue would be donated to ‘Bharat Ke Veer’ Trust.

Many in the past have referred the game as a replacement to the recently banned PUBG Mobile, but Vishal Gondal, Founder and Advisor/Investor at nCoreGames has stated that the ban was coincidental and the FAU-G isn’t a battle royale game or a replacement for PUBG Mobile. The development for FAU-G started in June 2020, which was before the PUBG ban. The name FAU-G is the brainchild of actor Akshay Kumar, said Gondal in an interview with The Indian Express.

More and more Indian developers are now developing quality games and the games are being praised on a global level. ‘Raji: An Ancient Epic‘ by Nodding Heads Games is one such success. Ubisoft Mumbai and Ubisoft Pune are also developing a remake to the classic ‘Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time‘ game which is supposed to launch in January 2021.

It will be interesting to see how FAU-G fares against its competition in the action-adventure shooter genre.
