PUBG free-to-play week is now live, get free rewards
Krafton made the announcement today that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, or “PUBG: Battlegrounds” as they want us to call it, will be free to play this week on Steam.
The free-to-play week has already begun today i.e. August 10th and will go on until August 16th. KRAFTON has stated that the free-to-play week event will only be available on Steam.

How to play for FREE:
IMPORTANT: You will need to sign in with your Steam account to play the game, if you don’t already have one, you can create one for free here.
1. Visit here.
2. Click on “Play Game“, as shown in the image below.
3. After that, if you have Steam installed, select “Yes, Steam is installed”. Or else choose the other option to download the Steam client.
4. Now click on “Open Steam Client Bootstrapper” on the pop-up prompt.
5. That’s it, now just download the game and play it.
All rewards, including Pass and Mission rewards along with XP and BP, can be acquired during the week. Krafton has mentioned that all records will be carried over as long as you purchase the game on the same account. The in-game store will not be available until you purchase the game.
Talking about purchasing the game, according to rumors, PUBG could go free-to-play, if Krafton receives a good response during the ongoing free-to-play week. A popular PUBG data miner & leaker, PlayerIGN shared the leak last month.
The free-to-play week has been announced just as mentioned in the leak. This means we could very well be seeing PUBG: Battlegrounds go free-to-play soon if the response is good enough.

And has also announced several rewards that you can get during this week by completing various challenges/objectives.

A limited-time zombie survival mode has also been added to the game recently. The future looks good for the game as the developer aims to reach a wider audience through various forms of entertainment.
