Far Cry 5 Trial Weekend: Play for free, discounted price
Ubisoft has announced a free-to-play Trial weekend for Far Cry 5 for this coming week. The free-to-play ‘Trial Weekend‘ will take place from August 5 to August 9.
During this weekend players can try out the game for free which will help them decide whether they want to buy it or not.
The Trial Weekend is available on platforms like Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Epic Games Store for PC, Ubisoft Connect for PC, and Google Stadia. Players on PlayStation 5 & Xbox Series X|S should be able to play the game via backward compatibility.
How to get access:
You can get access to the Trial Weekend through Ubisoft Connect(for all platforms).
1. Head over to Ubisoft by clicking here.
2. Select the platform of you choice.
3. You will be redirected to the platform you chose to complete further steps.
You can refer to the below picture for a better idea of when the Trial Weekend will go live according to regional time for each region.
The Trial weekend will begin on August 5, 6:30 PM IST and will end on August 10th at 01:30 AM IST for Indian players. The game is available to preload right now.
Far Cry 5 is an action-adventure FPS shooter game developed by Ubisoft Montreal & Ubisoft Toronto and published by Ubisoft.
The game is the 5th main installment in the series and 12th in the franchise. It takes place in Hope Country, a fictional region in Montana, United States. The game sees a junior deputy sheriff(the protagonist) in rural America and how he works alongside factions of a resistance to liberate the county from a doomsday cult called The Project at Eden’s Gate led by the despotic rule of a charismatic & powerful leader, Joseph Seed.
The game is known for its visually rich & lively open world & single-player campaign. The game won Titanium Awards’ Best Action Game award in 2018.
The good news for PC players is that if you want to buy the game, you can also get it for an 80% discount on the Epic Games Store. The game is available at a discounted price of INR ₹599.80 on the Epic Games Store and you can get it for the discounted price till August 9(August 10th, 01:30 AM IST).
Progressions will carry over if you decide to purchase the game, Ubisoft has confirmed. It makes sense for Ubisoft to let people try out Far Cry 5 for free for a limited time as it will help Ubisoft make more sales on Far Cry 5 before Far Cry 6 officially releases.
