PUBG could be getting a new Zombie game mode soon
A PUBG dataminer & leaker, PlayerIGN has datamined a new zombie mode in the recent 13.1 update for PUBG. A new game mode called ‘Zombie Defense‘ is coming to the game.
It is a survival mode where players will have to defend against multiple waves of AI zombies. While defending players will earn “survival coins” which can be spent to purchase weapons.
This new mode will probably be available under the arcade modes section sometime in August. This could also give KRAFTON an idea about how the PUBG players react to the survival game modes, considering that they company has a survival horror game in development with partnered game studio Striking Distance Studios.
Also, since PUBG could be going free-to-play(according to leaks by dataminer PlayerIGN), adding a zombie mode would also help attract players from other game genres to PUBG. It could help increase the player base for the game, something that PUBG definitely needs right now.
