India based game developer Firescore Interactive has been acquired by CrazyLabs
Hyper-causal game publisher CrazyLabs recently announced the acquisition of Mumbai-based game development studio, Firescore Interactive. According to the announcement post, the deal is a part of CrazyLabs’ strategy to expand and grow its game development business in India as well as CrazyHubs activity. The deal is said to be a “multi-million dollar deal” but no details have been disclosed yet.
“We are very excited to become an official part of CrazyLabs, and we are even more excited with the opportunity to expand CrazyLabs business in India. Our team has worked extremely hard to get to this point and this is well-deserved validation. The close relationship and open communication with CrazyLabs was a key differentiator for us from the get-go“, said Karan Khairajani, Co-founder, Firescore Interactive.
Surojit Roy, Co-founder, Firescore Interactive said, “Our goal is to take the game development industry in India to the next phase, and we are thrilled to take this step together with CrazyLabs.”
With popular hyper-casual games such as Soap Cutting, Acrylic Nails & Hair Dye, and the CrazyHub India hypercasual gaming accelerator, both the companies have had a strong long-lasting partnership which now has resulted in an acquisition.
Talking about the acquisition, Guy Tomer, the COO & GM of CrazyLabs referred to India as a strategic market with invaluable game development and creative skills. He called the deal “a result of a very successful collaboration.“
